This project began with Private Land Owners that then extended to a collaboration with the City of Brevard, NC. This site was one covered in non-native kudzu, japanese knotweed, reed canary grass and privet as well as a severely eroded French Broad River streambank. The streambank at the Pisgah Forest/Wilson Road Boat Ramp and neighboring property has been restored and replanted with natives.  As most projects involving non-native plant management this project was not done in one fell swoop. It required pre-project work and will require post-project monitoring. More native plants will be added as invasive species are controlled. And, if you are one with a boat trailer or like getting on the water there is a little more room in the parking area.

The photos below show before and after shots from two different vantage points.
